The scale of China's software and IT industry achieved 580 billion yuan in 2007, according to the news from a conference on service outsourcing held by the Ministry of Commerce.
In 2007, the scale of the global software and IT industry reached 940 billion USD, increasing by 7.4% over the previous year. Meanwhile, China's software industry also saw substantial development. It accounted for 8% of the global scale.
As a part of China's software industry, the scale of China's software export and service outsourcing achieved 10.24 billion USD in 2007.
